Credit Card Lounge

I want to be able to access iTunes Store in Canada (i live there, that’s obvious) but I don’t have a Credit Card, so I though about getting a Pre-Paid Visa Card, and I want to know if it works, or if you have any other alternative.

I want to get a secured credit card. Which card is better? CitiBank Secured MasterCard or Bank of Ameica Secured Visa Credit Card. What is the difference between Mastercard and Visa? I want to built my credit. Please tell me which card i should apply to. Also how much $$$ should i put on the secured card. and after how can i can apply for a regular credit card.

I am 18 years old. I was declined credit cards, even department store cards. Thats is why i am getting a secured card so that i can built my credit.

I have perfect credit, never had ANY financial problems, I own my own property and have recently become self employed (but this is very secure financially.) So why did Capital One just turn down my application for a credit card? Due to the self employment?
I have no debt, and no other credit cards open!

What is the difference between credit card with Visa logo and the one with Master Card logo? Which one is more preferable/better?

I asked a question about a credit card company deny my application because I am not a Permanent Resident. After couple of months, I apply for the same company and told them that I am a PR and they sent me the Credit card. (My credit history is perfect) What are they really checking? Credit history or present status of a person? By saying this information is it right or wrong?

If so, how?

1. can i use a prepaid credit card with visa electron logo on it
for online buying .
2. what if the online seller accepts VISA cards
wud i still be able to shop with my VISA ELECTRON PREPAID CREDIT CARD i.e plz tell me does it really matter in online transactions tht the prepaid card is “visa” or a ‘visa electron”

if so, can you break down a little more for me to understand?
also i was wondering how credit cards work in general? and what is to happen if i get a credit card and never use it? would i still have to pay interest or something? i just turned 18 and i am thinking about getting a credit card and i want to know how everything works. any opinions on credit cards?
