Credit Card?

Credit Card Applications
I asked a question about a credit card company deny my application because I am not a Permanent Resident. After couple of months, I apply for the same company and told them that I am a PR and they sent me the Credit card. (My credit history is perfect) What are they really checking? Credit history or present status of a person? By saying this information is it right or wrong?

since you weren’t a PR before, it’s a big risk to give someone a credit card without really knowing their residency. For example, would you give some your car keys simply on the fact that they told you where they live? Since there was some “seasoning” to your status, they can see that you were, in fact, a PR. Knowing this they are more secure in knowing that the bills will be paid since they have someplace to record you at.
