credit card offers in the mail?

Credit Card Offers
how many credit card offers do you get in the mail weekly? what do you do with them? I like to tear em up and send em back in the prepaid onvelope. Then i write “No Thanks, Im on the dave ramsey plan.” Just a fun little hobby of mine.
you dont need a credit card to rent a car or get a hotel room or book a flight. A debit card works just fine and you dont go into debt using it.

Nothing wrong with good credit except that you have to go into debt and stay in debt to have good credit. A game that makes banks weathy not me and you.
Go to daveramsey.com and check out his plan. He has lots of GOOD advice about money and debt.

I get a credit card sometimes once every 3 months, and I am not out of school yet. I will when there’s a good offer, low interest thing going on, maybe I’ll consider using it after when I get out of school.

Good idea! I’m gonna try that. Those tree choppin’, money grubbin’, falsely pre-approvin’ bastards!

I used to get a lot of them but then I saw a note at the very bootom of the page that says that if you don’t want to receive anymore offers, you need to call a toll free number. When you call they will ask for your SS# and fulle name and they will send you a letter that you will sign and send back,, That’ll stop most of the unsolicited cc offers. I still receive them but mostly from banks I already have business with.
    Hope it helps

I don’t get ANY now that I’ve signed my name up on an official opt-out list. (It was online but I forget the site name.) I used to get tons cause my credit is so good. I’ll just stick with the ONE I have thanks!

If any do manage to sneak through the system & end up at my house then I usually just do the following. I scribble out my name, write RETURN TO SENDER (in all caps like that too), underline that about 10 times & then send it right back. I’ve had to do that with capital one a few times & so far I haven’t seen any more. hahaha!!

P.S. What’s the dave ramsey plan????

Since I went to a website called optoutprescreen. com, I do not get any more credit card offers, mortgage offers etc. I love it. However, I do like what you are doing….hehehe…I got a chuckle!

I don’t because I removed myself from the national mailing list at.

O.B.T.W., what exactly is wrong with having great credit?

You can’t rent a car, book a flight or a hotel room without a credit card.

So if you are using your credit responsibly, whats the big deal?

    Hello,

You can send i simple letter to the CRAs telling them you want to “OPT OUT” That will stopp 99% of your credit offers. They look at your credit report and if you qualify for a card from them they send you the offer. NO, they do not need your permission to look at your credit they buy it from the CRAs

you get such junk mail because many people are accepting the offers.
