Where do I got if I want to get a prepaid credit card from Visa? Also, are there any monthly fees or interest fees that I should know about? Or, is it simply I pay them the amount I want put into my card, and that’s it; I just use up my card until all that prepaid money is gone?
Call your bank and inquire if the bank issues prepaid visa card since most banks do. There is no monthly fees or interest. Prepaid credit card works like cash. You use the amount at places where prepaid card is accepted until the prepaid money has been exhausted. Some people used it as a gift instead of giving cash or in goods.
Cards you use until the prepaid amount is gone – you can buy just about anywhere from your local gas station to Walmart.
Prepaid Cards that actually have your name on it – Try Greendot
Once again check with your local 7-11. Greendot is a bit more complicated. No. 1 you pay the money and then they send you a card with your name on it. But you can refill that card when it is empty by simply going back to a store that handles greendot and pay for the refill there.
Most banks offer prepaid Visa Cards that can not be refilled but make great gifts.
