Possibly. Lying on a credit application is fraud. It’s criminal, and you could possibly be prosecuted, but that’s unlikely.

However, if you default on the credit, then the creditor can show that you lied on your application. That means the debt you incurred will never be dischargeable. You will always owe it and have to pay it.

The kind of trouble you will get into is fee’s, interest and bad credit rating. You shouldn’t lie about your income. I’m not sure if you have read about the housing related economy trouble in America. It is because people got in over their heads. The CC company does check and validate the information you have them before they send you the card.

Not a good idea thats the first step to getting yourself in trouble. You could be done for fraud, deception to gain credit & not to mention others a lawyer would find if the credit card company found out. do they do a credit check most companies ask for proof of income so how do you lie about income if they want a payslip.

Chances are sooner or later you would be found out.

If you need to lie on your application for a credit card forget it, it,s not worth the trouble you are going to get yourself into.It is fraud and you don,t want to end up with that on your track record later on in life. It will come back to bite you on the bum one day.If you have to lie you don,t need it, forget it until you are in the position to get it later on.
