is the chase platinum visa a good credit card? For the older lady with no credit history?

I have never had a credit card before and I am considering the chase platinum visa. Is this a good choice? Any thing I should know about it? I dont wanna get jabbed with fee’s/fines
Read the complete disclosure of fees. Is there an annual fee? There are so many credit cards out there that you shouldn’t have to pay a fee.
I guess the big question is why, after all this time, would you want or need a credit card? If it’s for convenience, great. If you’re using it to buy more than you actually can afford, that is a slippery slope.
Please be careful with it if you do get one, and be sure to pay off all that you charge each month.
