I am trying to figure out how to do an application. It is not a normal application. I am confused about the postcode that will not fit, the date of birth is not correct and I know my birthdate, and the phone numbers. It was saying something about starting with 01, 02, or 07. It is too confusing can anyone help.

If the ID thief does not have my Social Security, how can he submit a credit card application on my behalf? If they have my SS#, they can go online and apply for a credit card anyway. Am I missing something?

I’m closing on a house tomorrow. Will my credit card application that went through today (rejected, btw) affect anything tomorrow? Or is it safe to assume all of the loan stuff is pretty much done, we just have to sign the papers? I have no credit history.
We’re signing the papers tonight, but since it’s after business hours they said it won’t go through until tomorrow. Does this make any difference?

I applied for a credit card, but my application was declined with no reason given. I assume they have searched a credit agency. What will this have done to my credit file and will it affect any future applications?

I know that applying for a new card will reduce my FICO, and that increasing credit limits (while keeping debt amounts constant) will increase my score – but this would not be the case if requesting the increase in credit limit is treated as a new credit card application?
