Will the misspelled name show up somewhere in the credit report even if your application was denied?
What I mean is: Will the misspelled name show up somewhere in the credit report even if your application was denied?

I am wondering if credit card application affect your credit score/credit report negatively?
does it lower the credit score every time some one applies for it?
how many times in a year is considered normal and not over application?

how do i get off the list of credit card companies wanting to offer me credit cards.

I believed my sister in law used my name and social but her address to open a credit card with Walmart. I know I filled out some credit applications online at her house but I do not remember this card. Can I prove it was her even though the application was filled out online and 2 1/2 yrs ago?

i applied for a credit card 5 days ago, my credit alert shows that a credit report was pulled so i called the credit card company to check on the status of the application…the rep told me it shows that it is still in process and if it was declined he would know but to call back in the next 3 days and they would have more information on the status …MY QUESTION IS THIS
1-DOES THIS MEANS I WAS NOT APPROVED
2-My score is 636 and i have 1 derogatory item on my report that i am disputing and 2 deliquent items that has been paid for
3 WHAT CHANCE DO I HAVE BASED ON THIS ….cos it seems they are stll trying to decide whether to offer me credit or not

please help as i feel i need to wait longer in order to be able to qualify ..forgot to mention i have a secured card with 300 limit for the past 5 months
i am actually applying for a chase bank credit card

Rebuilding my credit and I have an old Master Card account that was charged off that I am attempting to satisfy. I want to obtain a secured card from a local credit union to start establishing some good credit. Do I have to satisfy the old account before doing this or will I be able to get the secured card.
