Assume you have some junkmail you wish to dispose of which has you name and address printed on it but you don’t have a shredder available. If it was an A4 size application form, how many times would your tear it in two before putting it in the bin?

I want a printed copy of the application…I don’t want to apply by phone or online. Please don’t ask why (it’s not that important)…I prefer a printed application.
((I AM ASKING BECAUSE I’VE CALLED A VARIETY OF THE CC COMPANIES AND THEY ALL WANT YOU APPLY ONLINE…I’VE EXPERIENCED IDENTITY THEFT SO I DON’T WANT TO DO THAT…ALL THE BIGGER COMPANIES I’VE CALLED ONLY HAVE ONLINE APPLICATIONS…HENCE THE QUESTION)

I get them in the mail every day. Sometimes I let them accumulate and then end up opening up every single one so i can rip them up and throw them away. Is it safe just to toss it away without ripping it up? I’m paranoid about identity theft.
