NATIONAL CITY BANK sent me a GUARANTEED SECURED Credit Card Application but they seem to want alot of money and info about me UP FRONT. Has anybody heard if they’re a ripoff?

Is there a credit card I can apply for that I will more than likely get. My mom says JcPennys, belk, etc.I tried Capital One and got a no.I really dont want a secured card until it is my last resort. I do know a work for a company affilated with MACYS and BLOOMINDALES and it seems that their cards are easy to get. Any suggestions on a credit card to get so I can build my credit more

i am a non us resident. i understand that all major U.S banks open bank accts. for non res. and therefore can also offer secured CREDIT CARDS, but which offers airmiles?

does my credit score go up if i use (and pay on time) a secured credit card instead of the regular credit card?

My parents got me a VISA credit card for my birthday, and I just want to know a little more about it. How does it work, really? What happens when I make a purchase? Just any general information about credit cards…
I’ve already been on howstuffworks, so don’t direct me there.
It’s a secured card. I think I get $1000 on it per month or something.

Rebuilding my credit and I have an old Master Card account that was charged off that I am attempting to satisfy. I want to obtain a secured card from a local credit union to start establishing some good credit. Do I have to satisfy the old account before doing this or will I be able to get the secured card.
