I have a Citibank card that pays a reward, but I like the citicard that I applied for through my American Airlines frequent flyer program. I have enough miles to go to Japan. Every dollar is worth a mile and I think you get 10,000 or 20,000 miles just for signing up for the card. It’s a free card, it used to have a $50 fee, but now it’s free. So, if you visit family and need a plane ticket I’d pick that card over the cash back card because that only amounts to $50-60 a year.

Great way to earn some EXTRA rewards (and cash)! You’ve got the right idea!

You can find a complete list of cash back credit cards here:

If you have to stick with a Visa or Mastercard, you’ll be limited with the rewards you can earn. The Citi Dividend Platinum Card used to offer 5% cash back. But they recently lowered it to 2%. Still a great offer– but you can earn up to 5% with a Discover or American Express card.

You might also consider a ‘gasoline rebate’ card. If you make a lot of gas purchases with your credit card– you could earn even more. Plus, you’ll still earn cash back on your regular purchases. You can find these offers here:

You’ll have to compare offers yourself to decide which one best suits your needs. But I would say the Citi Dividend Platinum card is your best option– unless you go for a Discover or AMEX card.

    Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

citibank rewards credit cards are good..

Reward credit cards reward you depending on the amount you spend on the credit card. Usually, you can collect rewards through 3 methods. One method involves earning cash back on the card, which is generally a certain percentage of each amount you spend. The next method involves giving points or any other type of token to the customers to accrue. They can then redeem these points for gifts like luggage, cosmetics and other goodies that the credit card company offers. Most of these reward schemes have alluring gifts and huge variety of selections. But the better option is to go for a cash back reward as it allows you to use the money any way you like.

Look no further than the rewards calculator at . It’ll calculate which cashback rewards card (or other kind of rewards card) will pay you the most for your normal spending. AmEx Blue Cash is quite good. So is the Citi Driver’s Edge MasterCard. The Credit Card Tune-Up calculator will tell you which one is the best for you.
